JBN’s Direct to Film Transfer division is under the name of TransfersPlus. We service companies and individuals that are in need of a quality full color ready to press transfers for their clients or for personal use. Located in Melfort Saskatchewan, we are central to all locations in Canada making for a quick shipment of your Direct to Film Transfers.

What Is DTF?

DTF, or Direct to Film, is a new technology which allows us to print your ready to press designs onto special clear polyester films using digital water-based inks and a powder adhesive coating. After curing, you can then heat press the transfer design directly onto your garment with no need to weed the film. Direct to film transfer also have a softer feel than traditional Heat Transfer Vinyl ( HTV ) or regular cad cut colored vinyls.

LOW minimum quantities, no limitation to colors ( full color, photo quality images) and our ready to press transfers can decorate all types of substrates – color garments including dark & light, 50/50 blends and even 100% polyester fabrics.

All artwork must be 300 resolution transparent png file. If sending vector graphics, all text must be outlined. We will accept .ai and .eps vector files.  Do not mirror your artwork. If you do they will be printed in reverse.  Depending on the size of the order it will be either cut down into 12×14 sheets ( or smaller ) or it will be sent as a roll in a tube to avoid excessive handling and damage. You may gang your files to the 11″x14″ size, meaning you can have multiple images on one sheet. FILL THE SHEET!

DTF can be applied on a wide range of materials including, cotton, nylon, treated leather, polyester, 50/50 blends and more (light and dark fabrics).

We use HOT Peel film unless otherwise stated. You must be able to control pressure and heat settings.  Please see our application flyer for pressing instructions.

We will try to have a 1-3 business day  ( excluding holidays ) turn-around time on your order. In some cases it may take longer depending on our workload at the time.

IMPORTANT: THE FINE PRINT
Turn around time ( TAT ): Here at TransfersPlus/JBN Promotions, we strive to meet your timetables and to have your printed files sent out in a timely manner. In most cases your files will be with the courier within 1-3 days after receiving your payment. There are circumstances that superseded this TAT. Weather, holidays ( both statutory and personal ), machine outages ( sometimes this happens ), consumable shortage, and staff shortages/sick days. We are also not accountable for delays in your Direct to Film order once it has left our business for these delays are out of our control. Please bear with us if any of these happen.
Colors: We are not responsible for colors. You must check your colors — we do not match colors and we do not check colors for you. Please check your pantone colors as what you see on the screen is not necessarily what will print.
Small, Fine Print: Words less than 0.35 inches may not come out well and will most likely not transfer onto the garment. Fine, tiny details will not adhere to the clothing. Be sure to add a stroke and make any fine details thicker for best results.
Transparency effects:  Transparency, see through effects and drop shadows do not work for DTF. Please take off any shadow or edge gradient effects as it will not print as you see on the screen.
Resolution: Artwork needs to be created in 300 DPI for best print quality. Images with lower quality will not print well. The printing process needs a high quality image to have a clean and  crisp image. Check your edge quality and watch out for pixelated images.
Copyrights: We will not  print any copyrighted or trademarked designs. Please only send designs you own the copyright to.
Return Policy: We are unable to offer returns or exchanges as all items are printed as orders come in with your special artwork. Please read all instructions before pressing.
Payment: All prints will need to be paid for before we will print your files. Once we have received your files, our accounting department will contact you for payment. Once your account has been settled this is when the 1-3 days TAT starts.
